Flag values used in the inventory methods that comes with Flag parameter.

This flags can be set to enable inventory features. Depending on the reader, some flags cannot be implemented. Please contact the CAEN RFID technical support , or email at support(at)caenrfid.com for further information.

Enum Constant Detail

RSSI

public static final CAENRFIDLogicalSource.InventoryFlag RSSI

Show the RSSI.

For each identified tag the reader measures the RSSI. It's expressed in cents of dBm.

FRAMED

public static final CAENRFIDLogicalSource.InventoryFlag FRAMED

Framed returning mode.

It enables the framing of each identified tag. As soon as a tag is identified it is sent to the host, without waiting for the end of the current inventory cycle. NOTE: It must be used in together with CONTINUOUS flag and only in the CAENRFIDLogicalSource.EventInventoryTag(byte[], short, short, long) method and its overrides.

CONTINUOUS

Enable the continuous mode.

This flag enable the continuous mode. The user application should implement the CAENRFIDEventListener interface and add it to the instance of the reader. Tag found will be reported in the CAENRFIDEvent argument, along with the instance of the logical source that generated the event. NOTE: It must be used in together with FRAMED flag and only in the CAENRFIDLogicalSource.EventInventoryTag(byte[], short, short, long) method and its overrides.

COMPACT

Enable compact mode.

For each tag found the reader will sent relative info starting from ID and avoiding report the Source, antenna, type and timestamp, minimizing the throughput and maximizing the tag acquisition rate.

TID_READING

Enable the TID reading.

For each tag found the reader try to read a portion of TID whose length can be defined using the CAENRFIDLogicalSource.SetTIDLength(int) method. NOTE:Depending on various factors, the reader might not be able to read the required length of data from TID memory bank.

EVENT_TRIGGER

Enable the inventory on trigger button (if present).

Some reader like handheld are provided with an hardware button designed for reading. To enable the inventory on press, set this flag. NOTE:This flag must be set only in continuous mode. See the FRAMED and CONTINUOUS flags for further info.

XPC

Enabled the XPC reading.

The reader try to read the XPC (Extended Protocol Control word) from area of the tag.

PC

Enables the PC reading.

The reader try to read the Protocol Control word. CAEN RFID readers, in fact, returns only the ID part of the EPC, excluding the PC.

KEEP_ALIVE

Enable KEEP ALIVE.

This flag enable the KEEP ALIVE feature. The reader sent automatically, at fixed time interval, a fake tag with the type property set to CAENRFIDProtocol.CAENRFID_KEEP_ALIVE. NOTE:This flag must be set only in continuous mode. See the FRAMED and CONTINUOUS flags for further info.

PHASE

Enable the backscattering phases (begin and end).

The reader reports the begin and end phases of the backscattered signaldetected during the inventory cycle for each tag found. It's measured in degrees.

FREQUENCY

Enable the backscatter frequency.

The reader reports the backscatter frequency at the time of the identification of the tag, for each tag found in the inventory cycle. It's measured in Khz.

SUB_COMMAND

Enable the subcommand execution.

This flag enables the subcommand execution.Anyway, the subcommand execution flag is set also when an inventory method with subcommand parameter is called, and when subcommand value is different from none.

TAG_FOCUS

Enable the Tag FOCUSING (if present).

Set this flag to enable the tag focus feature (if present). NOTE: It must be used only when the SESSION of the logical source is different from S0. See CAENRFIDLogicalSource.SetSession_EPC_C1G2(com.caen.RFIDLibrary.CAENRFIDLogicalSourceConstants) method to set the proper session value.
